Atlantic Spotted Dolphins in Costa Rica´s Caribbean and Pan Tropical Spotted Dolphins on the Pacific. The very interactive pacific tribes are Costa Rica´s most numerous and frequently encountered dolphin. The Caribbean´s spotted dolphin is uncommon and a different species from the Pacific. The Caribe spotted dolphins are probably the friendliest dolphins in Costa Rica. Offshore of Pacific Osa, spotted dolphin often congregate by the thousands, performing huge group dances.
